Located in the heart of Douro Valley, in Santa Marta de Penaguião, Quinta da Gaivosa has 25 ha of vineyards. Using a holistic approach to making great wines by combining nature, a shared history and the personal touch of the Alves de Sousa family, who have worked on Quinta da Gaivosa wines and vineyards for 5 generations. Their 20 Year Tawny Port is a sensationally good fortified wine. Amber in colour, it has great concentration and complexity; full of spice, caramel and herbal notes. Beautifully refined by time, it expresses the beauty of maturity from slow ageing and gradual oxidisation process over the course of 20 years. The perfect wine to pair with Stilton cheese.
